Roeder Guilty After 37 Minutes of Deliberation |

Wichita | After 37 minutes of deliberation, a jury today found Scott Roeder guilty of first-degree murder in the shooting death of Wichita abortion doctor George Tiller.
Jurors also convicted Roeder of two counts of aggravated assault for threatening two men who chased him as he fled Tiller’s church after the shooting.
Sedgwick County District Judge Warren Wilbert set Roeder’s sentencing for March 9. Roeder faces a maximum sentence of life in prison.

RAPID CITY, S.D. – South Dakota authorities say a woman found passed out in a stolen delivery van earlier this month registered a blood alcohol content of .708 — nearly nine times the legal limit and a possible record for the state.
Meade County State's Attorney Jesse Sondreal said Wednesday that 45-year-old Marguerite Engle was found slumped over the van's steering wheel along a highway on Dec. 1.

We were promised change and we are certainly getting it. I have never seen such blatant bribery in DC. Yes it's always been there but never before has it become a matter of pride how much you can get for your state by voting for something that most of your constituents don't want. I'm just so relieved that it is all happening right there on CSPAN so we can all see it. Oh wait, I guess that promise is one that has slipped through the cracks.
